The "Trailblazer Triathlon" was first started back in 1984.  It takes place in Medical Lake , WA and is always held on the third Saturday in June.  This year it will be held on June 20, 2009. Race start time is 1:00 PM with check in time from 11:00 - 12:00. This is also Founders' Day, Medical Lake ’s annual celebration.  It is a mini triathlon consisting of a swim, bike and, a run. In 2010, the triathlon will be under new management; Friends for Children.

The start, finish, and all transitions take place at Coney Island Park located adjacent to downtown Medical Lake at the end of Lake St . Any questions should be directed to Dave Perry at (509) 869-0252 or dmperry2000@aol.com.

All age groups are available and all participants receive a medal. Come enjoy Medical Lake ’s annual town celebration that includes a parade, crafts, kid’s games, music, great food, and much more.

Course:
1)	Swim width of Medical Lake (approx. 1200 ft.)
2)	Mount Bicycle and ride clockwise around Clear Lake (approx. 12 miles)
3)	Dismount bicycle and Run counter-clockwise around Medical Lake (approx. 3.4 miles)

Registration:	Early Registration Fee is $35.00.  Early Team Fee is $50.00. Late Registration Fee (June 16 - June 19) is $45.00. Late Team Fee is $65.00.
