Medical Lake Founders' Day Pick & Roll Basketball Tournament

About the Tournament

“Pick & Roll” is a 3 on 3, outdoor, half-court, basketball tournament that is held annually on the third weekend in June, during Founder’s Day in Medical Lake , WA . This year the tournament will be held on June 21 & 22, 2008. Mailed applications must be postmarked by June 7, 2008 to have guaranteed acceptance into the tournament. Online Registration will be accepted through June 9, 2008. After June 9th, entries will be accepted on a space-available basis until June 13th with an added $25 late fee.

The tournament is played in downtown Medical Lake . This is the third year that the tournament will be in the 3 on 3 format. It was formally a 4 on 4 fullcourt tournamant for seven years. The tournament first began in 1999 and was originally known as “Four Play” until 2004 when the name was changed to "Four on the Floor". In 2006 the tournament was changed to its current format. In 2007 the tourney had 106 teams and is continuing to grow.

Each player will receive a T-shirt as and prizes will be awared to 1st, 2nd, and consolation winning teams. Divisions are available for people of all ages, skill levels, and gender.

Again this year we will have the Sunwest Automotive Slamma-Jamma Dunk Contest for particpants with outstanding hops. This is a great event with incredible jams. Another favorite will be the Downtown Toyota 3-point Shoot Out. Contestants will compete to see how many three pointers each can make from five stations. There will be prizes for each division as well as a grand prize from the winner of all divisions. New this year will be the Downtown Toyota Auto Giveaway Shoot-Out. Contestants will be able to sign up for a raffle for a chance to make five three pointers in 30 seconds. Make all five and you win a 2008 FJ Cruiser!
